Hornické muzeum

Step into a several-hundred-year-old mine adit: the Mining Museum sits in the Štola Ondřej Šlik, and its whole labyrinth of corridors is open to visitors. Many thematically sorted exhibits line the underground spaces, giving them a very authentic feel.

The underground exhibition covers ore mining, an industry that has been practically eliminated in Bohemia, as well as silver and uranium mining. The region's history runs deep too: mines in Planá for silver, lead, copper and antimony are known from before the Hussite period.
