Zoo Na Hrádečku

Zoo Na Hrádečku is a private, licensed zoo spanning about 10 hectares and home to more than 200 animal species, many of them endangered and protected under CITES.

Some of the smallest monkeys in the world live here, with marmosets in 8 species, while 15 species of colourful poison dart frogs and a shared exhibit of 2 macaw species add even more variety. The reptile collection holds the largest number of species at the zoo. Predators such as lions, hyenas, servals, pumas, meerkats and skunks are also kept here, alongside camels, Scottish Highland cattle, red-necked kangaroos and lemurs. 🦜

Families can also get closer to the animals through a range of hands-on activities:

• Guided tours and commented animal feedings are included in the admission price during July and August.
• An animal adoption program lets families adopt a zoo animal, with a long list of species to choose from.
• Experiences include “Nakrmte si mě” (feed-me experience) and “Den ošetřovatelem” (keeper for a day), plus night tours, bookable in advance.
• Summer holiday educational camps have run since 2017, alongside family events with children.

The zoo is suited to young visitors up to 18 years old, making it a day out the whole family can enjoy. 🎉
