17th Uplengen Christmas Market

On Sunday, December 7, 2025, the area around the historic St. Martin's Church in Remels will once again transform into a festive market wonderland. The traditional Uplengen Christmas Market opens its doors from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and invites visitors of all ages to spend a reflective day in a pre-Christmas atmosphere.

At 10 a.m., an Advent church service will take place in St. Martin's Church, lasting until 11 a.m. – immediately afterward, the Christmas market begins. Guests can expect a colorful selection of decorative gift ideas, handcrafted items, and culinary delights. Numerous stalls on the festively decorated grounds around the church, the community library, and the elementary school create a cozy ambiance. From savory treats to sweet temptations, there is something for every taste.

A special highlight is the Christmas bazaar in the auditorium, offering the chance to pick up a few unique Christmas gifts. Those who want to take a cozy break will find a perfect spot in the St. Martin's House: here, homemade cakes and hot coffee or tea invite you to linger. A small book flea market in the community library also encourages browsing—ideal for all book lovers looking for new reading material.

Bright children's eyes are guaranteed by a visit from Santa Claus, who will stop by at 3:30 p.m. with his sack full of surprises. Together with the young and older guests, he will sing one or two Christmas songs, creating a festive mood.

The Uplengen Christmas Market promises once again to be a cozy outing for the whole family this year. Come by and let yourself be enchanted by Christmas anticipation and festive sparkle!

The festive day concludes at 6 p.m. with a concert by the Guitar Group in St. Martin's Church. The group looks forward to many listeners and warmly invites everyone to sing along.
