Description

On the 2nd Advent weekend, Saturday, December 5, and Sunday, December 6, 2026, from 1 pm onwards, the courtyard of Hirschhorn Castle shines with Christmas spirit.

Hundreds of lights give the castle courtyard a unique, almost magical atmosphere as darkness falls. And it’s not just children's eyes that will widen. Scents of hot mead, mulled wine, hot juniper liqueurs, bratwursts, crepes, waffles, and pizzettas drift through the ancient castle walls.

Honey and honey products, handcrafted items like wooden decorations, laser-engraved slate plates, jewelry designs in various styles, assorted jams and wonderful vinegars, hand-knitted goods, as well as freshly cut Odenwald mistletoe complete the selection.

On both days, around 3 pm, children will hear the story of Saint Nicholas from Myra and everyone will receive a gift. In the interactive tent for kids from Auehof, there’s plenty to discover.

Around 4:30 pm on both days, Christmas carols will fill the castle courtyard.

Admission is free.
