Kids can actively help with picking, cutting, and pressing the apples – fun and a tasty result are guaranteed.
Please bring bottles for the freshly pressed apple juice.
Drinks, coffee, and cake are of course well provided for at the Apple Festival.
The expansive Gaaler Heide area is one of the largest remaining orchard meadows in Rhineland-Palatinate and is home to a rare historic fruit collection. More than 220 trees, including many old varieties, stand amid a colorful wildflower meadow – an oasis of biodiversity.
The event is held under the patronage of the Minister for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, and Mobility of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
