There is a big event all over Austria: The Long Night of Research. It is a great opportunity for children and teenagers up to 14 years old to discover the world of science.
What is it? Hands-on science. Children can do their own experiments, see robots, watch the stars, and try out new technology. There are many interactive stations to join in.
When does it take place? On Friday, April 24, 2026. Most locations are open from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Where does it take place? All over Austria. Many universities, museums, and companies in cities like Vienna, Graz, Linz, Salzburg, and Innsbruck are participating.
Who is it for? It is for everyone. It is especially exciting for children and students between 6 and 14 years old.
How much is the entry? Entry is free everywhere. You do not have to pay anything.
Tickets and Registration: You do not need tickets for most locations. You can just go there. Only for a few special tours do you need to register directly on-site.
Where are the exact addresses? There is no single location. The event takes place at over 200 locations across Austria (in universities, schools, and companies). You can find the exact addresses for each city on the website under the "Programm" section.
