Freiberger Christmas Market invites you to an authentic mining-themed Christmas market in the Ore Mountains. A special highlight is the Fairy Tale Train, where children, together with the mayor, Santa Claus, and angels, officially open the market – lighting the Christmas tree and pushing the pyramid create magical moments 🎄.

For little explorers, there is the Little Mining Workshop, where children can creatively dive into mining traditions. Another highlight is the torchlight mining parade with the Historical Freiberger Miners’ and Smelters’ Guild and the Mining Music Corps Saxonia – an atmospheric experience for the whole family.

The market features around 90 lovingly decorated wooden huts showcasing traditional Ore Mountain crafts and mining customs. On the first Advent Sunday, the Stollen Festival takes place with a ceremonial cake cutting and stores open for shopping – perfect for cozy Christmas shopping.
