Description

The Horneburger Autumn and Horse Market, held annually since 1734 on the second Friday in October, remains of great historical and social significance for the town of Horneburg. Along the approximately 1.5-kilometer-long market mile stretching from Lange Straße to the train station, over 100 showmen and women offer a diverse range of attractions for young and old alike, including carousels, a bumper car ride, a roller coaster, ring toss, duck fishing, and much more. And of course, there’s plenty of food and drink available that day: numerous stalls serve a wide variety of sweet and savory dishes as well as beverages to suit every taste.

Beyond the fairground mile, there is much to discover at the train station area: many regional artisans and hobby artists showcase a colorful assortment of decorative and practical items. In addition, the elegant carriages of old and young vintage cars can be admired at the station. Pony rides, offered by local horse owners, and live music complete the varied program for the day.
