ORF-Lange Nacht der Museen (ORF Long Night of Museums)

On October 3, 2026 the Fire Department Museum will participate in the ORF-Lange Nacht der Museen with guided tours, a children's program and the presentation of firefighting vehicles.

The newly redesigned museum combines technology and history: it shows alarm systems, equipment, firefighter helmets, models and reports on major fires – in the anniversary year, historic firefighting vehicles will be presented in a vehicle hall.

• Guided tours on request – you can join at any time.

• Short expert talks at regular intervals on topics such as Ringtheaterbrand, Rotundenbrand and Justizpalastbrand.

• Modern firefighting vehicles in front of the museum to marvel at and try out.

• Children’s program: operate a pump yourself and see a firefighting vehicle up close.

• Free admission.
