Description
Several libraries regularly host exciting storytime sessions for children – for the youngest up to 6 years old as well as for children from 4 to 12 years old.
At the Mark Twain Library, picture books are primarily read aloud, bringing much joy to the little listeners. The Erich Weinert Library invites you every Monday at 4:30 PM to listen to weekly changing books. Additionally, the Heinrich von Kleist Library offers shared reading for children and adults on the first Tuesday of each month at 4:00 PM.
Especially noteworthy is the weekly storytime organized by Lesewelt e.V. at the Ehm Welk Central Library, held Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. There, dedicated volunteers read exciting stories to children and support language development and reading comprehension in a playful way. Participation in this freely accessible event is free of charge and requires no registration. Children can even collect stamps and earn a small gift after attending regularly 🎁.
