Description

"The Udo Jürgens Story – His Life, His Love, His Music" is a wonderful and unique tribute to the grandmaster of German entertainment music – featuring the greatest hits along with some lesser-known gems and fascinating stories about the life of this important music legend. The captivatingly intense show will take place on November 13, 2026, at 7:30 PM at the Stadthalle in Kirchheimbolanden.

Listeners embark on a musical journey through timeless classics such as “Ein ehrenwertes Haus,” “Ich war noch niemals in New York,” “Griechischer Wein,” “Liebe ohne Leiden,” “Merci Cherie,” “Aber bitte mit Sahne,” “Mit 66 Jahren,” and “5 Minuten vor 12,” among many other hits. Udo Jürgens defied simple categorization. Musically, he freely moved between schlager, chanson, jazz, and pop. Thematically, he was committed to freedom, peace, and above all, love—and he was never afraid to ruffle feathers.

"The Udo Jürgens Story" is the idea of Viennese actress Gabriela Benesch, who knew Udo personally. She humorously shares stories, incidents, and anecdotes from Udo Jürgens’s life. These narrative insights are musically accompanied by singer and pianist Alex Parker, the most well-known Udo Jürgens interpreter in the German-speaking world.

Tickets in Kirchheimbolanden are available at the Stadthalle office at the Orangerie, phone (06352) 7504777, Officestar Enders, phone (06352) 9170800, at all usual advance booking offices, or online at www.stadthalle-kirchheimbolanden.de, www.reservix.de, or www.kultopolis.com
