Weihnachtsmarkt Mölln

Description
The collars are turned up, the chimneys are smoking, and not long after noon the streets are already bathed in a cool twilight. But during these wintry hours, the scent of Mutzen and spices drifts through Mölln, drawing you to the market square in this Eulenspiegel town. It’s time for the Mölln Christmas Market. In festive lights, the market square shines with what might be the most beautiful Christmas tree in northern Germany, adorned with thousands of lights and red baubles. At its feet, cozy stalls invite you to enjoy mulled wine, grilled specialties, Mutzen, and hearty dishes.
Many more stalls in the gift area offer Christmas decorations and a variety of gift ideas for loved ones at home.
Inside the Historic Town Hall, you’ll find a fine selection of high-quality stalls offering carefully crafted silver jewelry, felted hats, candles, ceramics, Advent arrangements, and many other artistic gifts spread over two floors.
Kiss under the mistletoe at the Christmas market in Mölln
Just like a Christmas tree, candles, and red baubles, mistletoe has become a beloved symbol of the holiday season, representing peace and reconciliation. The best-known tradition is probably kissing under the mistletoe. Kissing under the mistletoe is a must. This Christmas custom from the English-speaking world says that if two people kiss under the mistletoe, they become a happy couple. At the Mölln Christmas Market, there's a special area set up just for this lovely tradition – the so-called kiss zone.
A large star lights up the nativity scene figures. This popular symbol, along with our enchanting angels, of course, must not be missing. Our angels, with their radiant wings, spread magic again as they stroll around the Christmas market, bringing a small gift for the guests.
