Description

Almbachklamm in Marktschellenberg invites you to an impressive natural adventure: You will experience a roaring waterfall surrounded by wild, romantic scenery, explored via numerous bridges and boardwalks.

The hiking trail takes you over 29 bridges and boardwalks as well as 320 steps, including a tunnel carved directly into the rock – pure adventure for kids and teens from 0 to 17 years old.

  • At the entrance, families can discover Germany’s oldest marble ball mill, which uses water power to make fine marbles.

  • The historic Theresienklause at the end of the gorge is a special cultural treasure with a large dam that releases spectacular torrents of water.

  • The gorge is also dog-friendly on a leash – a great nature experience for the whole family, including furry friends.
