Description

The Altes Rathaus in Bad Kissingen is a historic building dating back to 1577, featuring a wooden interior, a striking gable from 1729, and a classical triangular gable from 1825. It offers families an exciting glimpse into the city's centuries-old history and architecture.

On the second floor, you can discover a historic meeting room donated in 1923. With wood paneling and stucco ceilings, this room tells stories of local craftsmanship and traditions – perfect for anyone who wants to experience history up close.

Historically, the Altes Rathaus served as a post and telegraph station from 1878 to 1900. This provides an interesting look at the evolution of communication, which children will also find fascinating.

Since its renovation in 1991, the building has functioned as a cultural center and exhibition space. Families can enjoy a variety of cultural and artistic experiences here.

From autumn 2017, the Altes Rathaus also features a wine shop that combines cultural history with local wine tasting, offering a special treat for adults in family groups. 🍇
