Description

The Aussichtsturm Hohe Bracht is an impressive landmark in the Olpe district featuring a 36-meter-high observation platform clad in local slate, originally built between 1929 and 1930.

From here, you can enjoy a vast panoramic view over much of the Sauerland region and the surrounding mountain ranges like Ebbegebirge, Lennegebirge, Saalhauser Bergen, and Rothaargebirge – perfect for a lovely trip with the whole family.

Right next to the tower, a restaurant café completes the experience by offering a pleasant spot to relax.

In winter, family-friendly winter sports opportunities await, including an 800-meter ski slope with a lift and floodlights, a toboggan run, and numerous cross-country ski trails ranging from 2.5 to 19 kilometers in length.

About 30 kilometers of circular hiking trails surround the mountain, some connected to long-distance hiking routes. Directly at the tower is a barrier-free discovery trail with information boards, rest areas, and viewpoints – ideal for families with children.

A cultural highlight is the annual open-air rock festival held since 2005, featuring bands from the region and providing entertaining family moments. 🎸
