Description
At the Blasmusikmuseum in the upper Feistritztal, a musical journey through over 200 years of wind music history awaits you! 🎶 Here, you will discover the development of wind music from its beginnings in 1804 to the present day.
The exhibition offers you the opportunity to listen to the rare instrument Serpent with exciting video and audio examples. Another highlight is the faithful replica of the Ratten Blaskapelle from 1895, which is brought to life with fitting music from that era.
Additionally, the museum houses an impressive collection of brass and woodwind instruments. Here, you will find special historical instruments such as an Aida-Trompete (circa 1870), which was specially designed for Verdi's opera "Aida," a clarinet made of natural boxwood (circa 1800), and a flute from the early 19th century. An exciting insight into the art of instrument making! 🎺
