Description

Bremen's green heart, together with the adjacent city forest to the north, covers about 200 hectares, making it the largest park in the city and one of the biggest urban green spaces in Germany. This diverse oasis offers plenty of opportunities for walking, enjoying ice cream, playing, or simply lounging around. The wide range of amenities also includes several playgrounds, a running track, boat rentals, a mini-golf course, and an animal enclosure.

In spring, visitors lucky enough may see the adorable young animals in the lovingly maintained petting zoo. These include piglets, kids (young goats), lambs, or deer, who are always happy to see guests. There are also several options for refreshments. Haus am Walde, Emma am See, and Meierei offer a variety of hearty treats as well as coffee and cake—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the Bremen tradition of “Kaffeesieren” after a long stroll.
