Description

On the 442-meter Buchkogel in the Leithagebirge, between Stotzing and Eisenstadt, rises the Buchkogelwarte. The 12-meter steel tower invites visitors to climb up and look around.

From the top, the view reaches the Schneeberg, across the Vienna Basin and the Wiener Neustädter Pforte, all the way to the Neusiedler See. Even the Kleinen Karpaten in Slovakia can be seen from here.

  • A structure of five levels
  • Around 1.400 bolts hold the roughly eight-ton structure together
  • The third lookout tower at this site
