Description

Burg Bentheim is the largest hill castle in northwestern Germany with an impressive history dating back to 1050. Here you can experience centuries-old history and explore exciting areas like the powder tower and the stables.

Currently, the castle is unfortunately closed due to severe building damage posing a safety risk. However, the Café Ferdinands remains open for visitors. ☕

The castle has belonged to the Bentheim and Steinfurt family for over 600 years, currently led by Carl Ferdinand Fürst zu Bentheim und Steinfurt. A place full of history and tradition awaits you!
