Description

Burg Ludwigstein is a medieval hilltop castle that now serves as a youth hostel, offering families an inspiring blend of history and nature.

The castle was rebuilt by the Wandervogel Youth Association after World War I as a memorial and symbol of renewal – a place that brings community and history to life and offers families exciting insights.

Regular public events such as Sunday tours and open evening sing-alongs by the fireplace provide family-friendly cultural experiences in a historic atmosphere 🎶.

Especially worth seeing is the Enno-Narten Building, completed in 2012, which is the largest straw bale house in Germany, showcasing sustainable architecture that fascinates both children and parents alike.

As a cultural and educational center of the German youth movement with archives and educational programs, Burg Ludwigstein invites families to explore history together and experience the fairy tale world of the Brothers Grimm nearby 🏰.
