Description

Burg Meersburg is the oldest inhabited castle in Germany and offers families a very special piece of history to explore.

On the four Sundays of Advent, special guided tours invite you to discover what life was like in the castle during winter. In atmospheric, chilly, and dimly lit rooms, visitors uncover fascinating stories and experience history up close.

After the tour, the Burg-Café provides cozy warmth with hot mulled wine or punch, creating a comfortable atmosphere perfect for families.

The café spoils you with a wide selection of snacks and winter classics in a baroque setting. A real hidden gem is the terrace, offering a breathtaking view over Lake Constance and the mountains – here you can relax with coffee, cake, or an aperitif away from the hustle and bustle.

Particularly popular are the pancakes in many varieties, inspired by the castle’s former lady, who brought her Dutch tradition to Lake Constance.
