Description

The Burgruine Honberg is a green jewel and a popular outing destination for families, located in the heart of a nature reserve. Here, you can look forward to an exciting journey through history and nature.

Discover the impressive remains of a medieval fortress with its two distinctive towers, the battlement and the turret, carefully restored in the 19th century. The castle tells the story of its founding around 1470 as the first modern fortress in Württemberg and was once the seat of important regional governors.

A special attraction is the local legend of the “Kischtämännle” 👻, whose “awakening” at the start of the Fasnet carnival is lovingly staged by the carnival club – an entertaining cultural event that promises lots of fun.

In summer, the castle ruins transform into a stage for the Honberg Summer, an open-air festival with many family-friendly events. Throughout the year, Honberg offers diverse experiences for both young and old.
