Deutsches Hutmuseum
Description
The Deutsches Hutmuseum invites you to explore 300 years of hat fashion and hat history across almost 1000 square meters of accessible space. It offers interactive stations where you can try on hats and experience the fascinating craftsmanship of hat-making.
The exhibition tells the stories of the people behind the hats – hardworking home workers, bold hat merchants, and powerful factory owners – who together shaped a rich, local cultural history. Especially exciting is the presentation on the production of over four million straw hats around 1900, when Lindenberg was known worldwide as a hat fashion capital.
