Die Salwey-Insel - Spielplatz in Obersalwey

Die Salwey-Insel, the playground in Obersalwey, was newly reopened in 2025. In addition to play equipment and a water playground for children up to 14 years old, the site features a shelter with power supply to charge your phone or e-bike.

The location is right on the winter bypass of the Fledermaustunnel from the SauerlandRadring. This makes it an ideal spot for a break or a stopover on a nice day.

Additionally, three large boards have been installed with information about hiking trails around the Homert, about the Salwey watercourse and the springs around Obersalwey, as well as about the village of Obersalwey.
