Description

Dinosaurier Museum Altmühltal takes you on a 1.5 km adventure trail through the forest featuring over 70 life-sized dinosaur models that you can even touch – a truly unforgettable experience for the whole family.

Original fossils and impressive skeletons, including the 25-meter-long Arapahoe dinosaur from the University of Zurich’s collection, await you. Exciting hands-on stations like fossil preparation and the hunt for ancient shark teeth bring paleontology alive and easy to understand for children from 2 years old.

Special exhibitions showcase the youngest Allosaurus “Little Al” and the largest discovered pterosaur model “Dracula.” Large playgrounds and a cozy beer garden with organic, vegetarian, and vegan options invite you to relax while the kids play within sight.

The museum is also family-friendly thanks to barrier-free access for strollers and wheelchairs. Schools and preschools can also benefit from interactive programs and discounts.
