Description

Eremitage Waghäusel is a baroque hunting and pleasure palace, built from 1724 for Damian Hugo Philipp von Schönborn. 🌳 You can discover the striking architecture and the extensive grounds.

Especially striking is the star-shaped floor plan – a 16-sided central block with eight hermit pavilions set in a network of paths threaded by walls.

The grounds cover around 40 hectares of parkland with large and small festival meadows, framed by a linden avenue that serves as a venue for festivals, concerts and large events.

The kitchen wing houses a gallery and a café, while the palace building is used for exhibitions.
