Erlebnisspielplatz am Altmühlsee - Seezentrum Wald

The adventure playground on the approximately 1.2-hectare site is themed "Romans and Alemanni." Not far from the area (about 500 meters as the crow flies) runs the Roman Limes (a UNESCO World Heritage site).

Visitors and guests at Altmühlsee embark on a journey through time. The journey begins at an excavation site and leads from the Alemanni village to the Roman town.

This is a playground for all ages – grandpa can test his balance on fitness equipment while the grandchildren let off steam at the excavation site, on the Alemanni climbing trail, or in the Roman town with a ten-meter-high slide tower. Meanwhile, grandma can pamper herself in the "cloud cinema" in the form of loungers and hammocks, soaking up the sun.

The element of water is also made tangible through the "Walder Altmühl," which runs directly through the adventure playground. Alongside a solid wooden footbridge over the stream, there's also a suspension bridge. Stepping stones across the creek and a Kneipp water therapy installation are also available.

The playground includes quiet areas that invite you to enjoy a picnic.
