Description

The Flora-Westfalica-Park in Rheda-Wiedenbrück offers an impressive blend of nature and urban space. Stretching nearly three kilometers, the park forms a green corridor between the neighborhoods of Rheda and Wiedenbrück. Visitors can stroll along picturesque paths from Wiedenbrück’s historic old town all the way to Rheda Castle. The park is known for its diverse plant life, which is especially striking around the Emssee lake and the rose garden. The floodplain landscape and alder swamp forest provide peaceful retreats for anyone looking to relax in nature. For sports enthusiasts, there’s a skatepark, an obstacle trail, and beach volleyball courts. Kids can have fun at water playgrounds and in the rope circus. Flora-Westfalica-Park combines relaxation and recreation right in the heart of a vibrant urban setting.
