Freibad Grünhöfe

Freibad Grünhöfe is a traditional hotspot for sun and water lovers in Bremerhaven, offering a wide range of swimming and recreational activities for all ages. The spacious facility is set within green lawns, cozy spots, and a natural garden landscape – perfect for enjoying summer to the fullest.

At the center is the heated exercise pool with 8 lanes of 50 meters each, giving swimming enthusiasts plenty of room for sporty laps as well as playful water fun. Next to it, a shallow pool and a separate paddling pool invite the little ones to safe and carefree swimming.

Children's eyes light up especially at the wide slide and the large playground, while adults can soak up the sun, read, or simply enjoy the summery atmosphere on the lawns. The variety of activities in and around the water makes Freibad Grünhöfe a popular meeting place for families, groups of friends, and sporty swimmers alike.

A kiosk provides you with tasty snacks and refreshing drinks so you can recharge between swimming and sunbathing. For special events like the traditional opening swim or club and family celebrations, it’s worth checking the pool’s event calendar.

Freibad Grünhöfe opens its gates during the summer season, typically from mid-May to mid-September – during this time, you can enjoy daily swimming hours and reliable offerings. The exact season varies each year depending on the weather and is announced in advance.
