Description
The Freilichtanlage Katzensteinermühle features a lovingly restored historic water mill from 1820 that is still operational and demonstrated on site. Ideal for families: children can see and touch the milling process.
At the hands-on demonstrations flour and semolina are produced – a visible process that interests children. In the Troadkasten you learn the history of milling.
Around the mill a sash saw and other traditional installations show hands-on working methods; there is also a fish pass where Forellen, Äschen, Barben, Huchen and other species migrate — good for nature watching 🐟.
Suitable for children up to about 14 years.
