Freizeitstätte Wittringen

The Freizeitstätte Wittringen, once a swampy area, was transformed into a 100-hectare public park in the early 1920s. Since then, this facility has served as a central local recreational area. The Wasserschloss Wittringen, a historic noble residence, currently houses a restaurant and the city museum. The extensive park grounds offer a variety of sports activities, including tennis, mini golf, and archery. Additionally, the site features a playground for children, a boat rental on the castle pond, a petting zoo, a birdhouse, and designated barbecue areas.
