Description
The Further Erlebniswelt Flederwisch is a romantic garden set on a former railway site where the imaginative worlds of Jules Verne meet the industrial history of the Bavarian Forest. Here, quirky and graceful antique machines and buildings invite you to marvel.
A special highlight is the largest steam locomotive in Bavaria from 1912, featuring a flywheel with a diameter of 3 meters and weighing 55 tons. It is shown in action during special tours at the Steam Locomotive Spectacle – an impressive experience! 🔥
On the Technology Trail you can get hands-on: wash for gold, search for gemstones, conquer a dragon glider, and explore the inside of the world in the “Earth” submarine. Getting involved is highly encouraged, for example by making paper, forging, or operating a hot air engine in the Experience Workshop – an original industrial building from around 1900.
-
Gold panning in the Gold Miner Camp: Everyone has found at least one nugget or gemstone here that you get to keep.
-
Explorer Tour Technology with a variety of experiments focused on papermaking, archery, gemstone mining, and magnetic field rotation machines.
-
The garden is mysterious and creative with many romantic corners to relax and recharge.
The Steampunk and Victorian industrial-era atmosphere enchants with custom-designed fashion and accessories full of mechanical fascination. A thrilling place full of discoveries for the whole family!
