Glockenspiel Graz
Description
Glockenspiel Graz delights families with its charming visual and musical performance. Two colorful figures in traditional costumes dance to three regularly changing melodies – a real eye-catcher for both young and old.
At the end of each show, a golden rooster flaps its wings and crows playfully, captivating especially children. The Glockenspiel also features a moon phase display that rounds out the experience.
With 24 bells of various sizes spanning two octaves, it creates a rich sound that captivates visitors time and again. The music plays daily at 11:00 AM, 3:00 PM, and 6:00 PM, with the melodies changing five times a year – perfect for repeat family visits.
The Glockenspiel located on the eponymous Glockenspielplatz is a historic monument and cultural treasure. The facade and figures reflect Styrian pride and craftsmanship – from the traditional costumes to motifs inspired by regional spirit production. This makes the visit a lively journey through Graz’s culture.
