Description

Gsellmann's Weltmaschine is an impressive kinetic machine on a farm in Kaag that captivates you with its constant motion and captivating stories.

Inspired by the Atomium in Brussels, where Franz Gsellmann continued work in 1958, this complex artwork was created over 23 years featuring thousands of parts, hundreds of light bulbs, and 25 electric motors. The interplay of light and sound makes the visit a special experience.

A highlight is the guided tours with Franz Gsellmann junior, the builder’s grandson, who shares exciting stories and takes families on a journey of discovery through technology and imagination. Maria Gsellmann adds explanations that make the Weltmaschine easy to understand even for children aged 6 to 14.

This fascinating "perpetuum mobile" symbolizes passion and vision. Visitors can also actively contribute by donating rare original parts to help keep the machine running. So a visit promises not just entertainment but also an encounter with history and mechanics.
