Hochwildpark Kommern
Description
Forget everyday life! Encounter over 500 wild animals at Hochwildpark Kommern: red deer, fallow deer, moose, wild boars, wild horses, steppe cattle, and many others. Breathe in the scent of forest and meadows. Take a break at cozy picnic spots and enjoy breathtaking views.
Family friendliness is a top priority at Hochwildpark Kommern. At the entrance, the small animal zoo delights young visitors with goats, donkeys, rabbits, and chickens. Petting and feeding are welcome! On the adventure playground, the kids can climb, play, and romp as much as they want. You can quickly and easily store your family's provisions in the wagon that’s ready for you at the entrance.
On weekdays, our kiosk at the entrance area offers snacks to satisfy small hunger pangs. Alternatively, the local snack bar delivers classic treats like fries, pizza, etc. to the park within half an hour.
On weekends, holidays, and during NRW school breaks, our forest house with an outdoor grill and beer garden invites you to relax and enjoy tasty refreshments after your hike. Recharge your energy at Hochwildpark Rheinland. Open year-round and just a stone's throw from the A1.
Note for people with mobility impairments: large parts of the park are wheelchair accessible, though some gravel paths exist. Hochwildpark offers electric wheelchair rentals. There is a ramp to the restaurant entrance, and accessible restrooms and parking spaces are available.
