Description

The Hörmuseum Bleiwäscher Bergbau brings the 2000-year-old history of lead mining in Bleiwäsche to life in an exciting and engaging way 🎧. Young visitors are guided along a circular route with six audio stations by the animal characters Mucki, Molli, and Wünni, who vividly share the experiences of the miners and introduce places like the test shaft, the lead washer, and the tunnel entrance.

The museum received 3rd place in the 2025 Heimatpreis of the city of Bad Wünnenberg – a testament to its cultural significance and its value as a learning space for children and families.

Especially for the youngest, there is the new picture book “Secrets of the Bleiwäscher Bergbau – News from Mucki and Molli” in a handy mini format, making the story even more accessible and exciting.
