Hvězdárna Veselí nad Moravou

Looking up at the stars is even more fun at the Hvězdárna Veselí nad Moravou observatory 🔭. Its evening public programs focus mainly on observing the night sky, so visitors can enjoy stargazing once the sun has set.

Getting there is part of the fun too: the observatory can be reached along the featured route Na hvězdárnu po Baťáku, which follows the Baťa canal.

The observatory also takes part in research by photographing very bright meteors (bolides) together with the Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Ondřejov, adding a real research angle to the visit.

For groups, there is a dedicated program for school classes, and the observatory also offers expert lectures on astronomy for those who want to dig deeper.
