Description

The Infopavillon Fischereimuseum Heikendorf takes you on an exciting journey through the history of fishing in the western Baltic Sea. 🎣 Dive into an exhibit with windows and short films that, together with guided tours, bring the lives of fishermen and the region’s development to life.

Here, you’ll learn how fishing was influenced by the refuge of fishermen after World War II, especially in Möltenort and Heikendorf. You’ll discover traditional fishing methods and the craft of fishermen from past to present – and find out how fish eventually end up on your plate.

The special feature: the pavilion is located right at the harbor in Möltenort, where active fishing boats still offer fresh fish directly from the cutter. This makes the museum visit a vivid experience right in the middle of everyday maritime life.
