Inn-Museum
Description
Inn-Museum showcases 2000 years of the Inn River's history as a vital trade route, featuring impressive originals and models including a 15-meter-long traditional wooden flatboat. This allows children and adults to experience the life and challenges of historic raftmen up close.
The museum brings the faith and customs of the raftmen to life, offering families an exciting insight into the culture surrounding river use and navigation.
To celebrate its 40th anniversary, the Inn-Museum hosts special events like a river experience day and lecture series that make visits even more varied and educational.
The adjacent outdoor park complements the exhibition with historic reconstructed boats and artistic installations – an ideal place for children and families to further explore the history of the Inn.
Particularly appealing for families are the interactive museum education projects, featuring programs like “From River Farmer of Nature to King of the Inn” and “Inn Pirates,” which let visitors dive playfully into history.
