The venue supports young musicians and delights with a diverse music program. Since 2003, it has hosted the semester-end concerts of the jazz/pop program at the Freiburg University of Music.
The historic Bösendorfer grand piano from 1987, played by legends like Miles Davis, creates a special atmosphere.
Jazzhaus Freiburg has been awarded multiple times for the high quality of its concert program, including the prestigious German venue prize APPLAUS.
Joachim-Ernst Berendt described it as “certainly one of the most beautiful jazz cellars in the world” – a wonderfully atmospheric place for music fans!
