Description

The Jüdische Lebenswege Museum Kleinsteinach is located in a charming half-timbered house dating back to 1715, which adds a historic charm to your visit.

The permanent exhibition presents the history of the Jewish community in the small village of Kleinsteinach. You can immerse yourself in Jewish life on site, explore the conditions for settlement, and learn about the protective authorities and the criteria used to select new settlers.

Particularly fascinating is the presentation of all Jewish participants from Kleinsteinach in World War I, connecting local history with larger events. The exhibition also showcases the peaceful coexistence in the village and addresses the impact of National Socialism on Jewish life.

A large media table gives you the chance to discover all the Jewish families of the village with their homes and stories – an interactive experience. The information panels and audio stations are equipped with QR codes that link to English translations, so everyone can follow along easily.

Suitable for children and youth aged 6 to 18 😊
