Description
At Keltendorf Steinbach, you can experience the daily life and work of the Celts up close – not as a traditional museum, but as a hands-on adventure. Families and children explore the history of the Celts, who lived over 2000 years ago in the Donnersberg region, and discover through all their senses how people lived back then.
In addition to Celtic culture, the excavations around the highest mountain in the Palatinate also reveal traces of the Romans and their influences, some of which are still visible today. This makes Keltendorf an exciting place to discover and experience history in many ways.
Keltendorf opened 22 years ago and has since become a well-established cultural destination. Major renovations are currently underway, which speaks to the importance and lasting value of this site.
