Kinderwildnis Nienburg

Description
Since September 2015, the Kreisgruppe Nienburg has operated the BUND Kinderwildnis, a nature playground right in the heart of Nienburg. Located between the Friedrich-Ebert-Schule and Ziegelkampstrasse, it is easy to reach on foot, by bus, or by bike.
The Kinderwildnis is a public playground. Children and teenagers can come to play there with or without their parents. Since its opening, the Kinderwildnis has become a popular outing destination for kids and families.
Unlike many playgrounds, the Kinderwildnis offers plenty of space. It covers about 8,000 square meters. It also has only two pieces of equipment: a swing for two and a stilt house with a log bridge, climbing net, and slide pole. Play mostly happens in and with nature here. It’s a great place to run, hide, and romp through the natural surroundings. If you enjoy climbing, splashing enthusiastically in water, or love building a hideout in tall grass, you’ll feel right at home on the Kinderwildnis. And when hunger strikes, the various fruit trees provide tasty snacks straight from the branches.
With environmental education guidance, the Kreisgruppe also offers an extensive children’s and family program at the Kinderwildnis. Everyone interested can join to build, explore, or play around a specific nature theme.
School classes, preschools, and other groups can also use the Kinderwildnis. There are two options: either drop by and explore the nature on your own, or book a special program tailored to your group’s interests. Nature experiences and environmental education events are offered on various natural themes.
