Kneipp ErlebnisPark

The Kneipp ErlebnisPark in Olsberg stretches along the Kneipp AktivWeg as well as the Ruhr and Gierskopp rivers, incorporating the five pillars of Kneipp’s philosophy into its features. The route first leads to the Kneipp herb garden and the adjacent orchard meadow, focusing on sensory experiences with medicinal plants and nature. The next section is the historic Kneipp Park Dr. Grüne, which includes a Kneipp facility integrated into a pond, a barefoot path, and several relaxation areas. Additional places to relax include the OlsbergEck, a natural point located between the Ruhr and Gierskoppbach streams in the town center, the renaturalized Ruhr meadows just outside downtown, and the Lebensgarten at Josefsheim Bigge, which reflects the Kneipp principle of balance. The natural water treading area “Jump over the Water” in the Gierskoppbach and the arm basins near the Tourist Information center highlight the importance of water. The Generationenpark, opened in 2015 and focused on movement, along with the exercise course, offer a variety of outdoor physical activities designed for all ages. The park is an accessible green corridor that appeals to visitors of all generations.
