Description

The Lainzer Tiergarten is a popular recreational area in Vienna offering you free admission – perfect for a family outing 🌳.

You'll find plenty of leisure activities here, such as guided tours and exciting excursions that bring nature closer to both adults and children. The nature discovery trails near Hermesvillapark and Nikolaitor are especially popular, ideal for family hikes.

Playgrounds located in the middle of the forest provide fun for kids, and the Hermesvilla hosts interesting exhibitions that blend culture and nature. Plus, many hiking and running paths invite you to enjoy the fresh air together.

Especially convenient: children under preschool age are allowed to ride bikes here, even though dogs and vehicles are otherwise not permitted. This encourages the youngest to move around through play.
