Mehrgenerationen-Haus Dörverden im Amtshaus Westen

Mehrgenerationen-Haus Dörverden im Amtshaus Westen has been around since 1995. In its early days, it received support from the municipality and district, and for three years it was funded by the state of Lower Saxony as a model project for rural areas.

The Aller Experience Center includes a sheltered harbor, play meadows, a water playground, artwork, and an observation tower. The facility offers spaces to relax and enjoy for guests from both town and country.

Civil weddings also take place at Mehrgenerationen-Haus. Regular activities include childcare, an intergenerational choir, game afternoons, a reading corner, and other offerings.

Amtshaus Westen is located right on the Aller River and provides rooms for weddings and larger gatherings.

The Heimatverein Westen with its local history room as well as other clubs have their home in the building. Visitors can learn about the history of Westen in the Heimatstube. Guided tours through the exhibition are available (heimatverein-westen@web.de).
