Description

The Mehrgenerationenpark aims to be a meeting place for young and old alike, surrounded by nature. The park, located in the center of Goldenstedt, covers a 2.5-hectare green space between the Mühlenbach stream and the Mehrgenerationenhaus.

The park features an accessible network of paths, an outdoor fitness area with various exercise equipment, a playground with climbing frames, and a stage for all kinds of performances. Two underground trampolines, games like chess and nine men's morris, ping-pong tables, a boule court, and a basketball court invite visitors to enjoy playful and sporting activities.

Art also finds its place in the Mehrgenerationenpark. At the entrance stand the "Moving Birds," a sculpture installed in 2021 that features flying birds, along with steel panels bearing quotes related to the park and its visitors. At the park's exit towards Überthünen, visitors can admire the oak sculpture "Mother Nature" created by Uwe Oswald. The wooden area invites visitors to sit. Viewed from above, the figure forms a large S, allowing people to face each other for conversation. Surrounding the figure is a wooden strip made of planks, on which the sculpture rests.
