Description

The historic Art Nouveau indoor pool offers you an atmospheric bathing world that appeals to families. Built 1905 to 1907 to designs by Hans Meyer and donated by Oskar Merkel, the hall tells a social history – originally there were showers and bathtubs for workers, a good starting point to pique children's curiosity.

The warm bathing hall uses natural mineral water heated to 34 °C 🏊♀️. You will find a six-lane lap pool from the 1960s for active swimmers and a separate teaching pool for non-swimmers – ideal for swim lessons and first achievements.

On the tour you can discover many decorative details, such as the restored high stucco ceiling and a leaded-glass window with an Italian coastal landscape.

  • Restored Art Nouveau ornaments and an atmospheric interior

  • High stucco vault and colored leaded glass

  • Six-lane lap pool and separate teaching pool

  • Mosaics, sea-creature dormers and a bird statue on the gable
