Description

The Mittelrhein Klettersteig is one of the few alpine via ferratas north of the Alpen 🧗. From the cliff edges you'll get panoramic views over Boppard and the Vierseenblick.

The route includes eleven climbing sections on steep walls with fixed equipment: 10 ladders, 130 step pins and 180 m steel cable. moderate (B) – difficult sections can be bypassed via hiking paths, so that you can avoid harder passages.

Typical route: about 300 m ascent and around 2,5–3 hours – an extended half day for you. Via ferrata equipment can be rented on site. Parts of the route are integrated into long-distance hiking trails, and the ascent or descent may include the Bopparder Sesselbahn.
