Description
The Münchner Marionettentheater boasts a tradition of over 165 years, skillfully blending tradition and innovation to delight all generations. In 1900, it became the first puppet theater worldwide to have its own stone building, designed by architect Theodor Fischer.
The theater offers captivating puppet art that transports both young and old audiences into imaginative worlds. Family-friendly performances include “Spuk im Spielzeugladen” and “Die Mondlaterne”, ideal for children from 4 years old, as well as “Der Nussknacker” for children from 6 onward.
Especially exciting: The theater also appears daily at the Münchner Oktoberfest on the Oidn Wiesn.
The building is wheelchair accessible and equipped with an induction loop system for hearing aid users; it’s well worth a visit for anyone who appreciates classic puppetry.
